PICTURES: Springtime captured by FW photo winner

Last year Jean Macdonald from Craven Arms in Shropshire won our annual photo competition with her unforgettable black-and-white shot of an old Ferguson TE20 tractor.

She hasn’t stopped snapping since, and for the last three months she’s been busy compiling an exclusive set of Spring pictures for Farmers Weekly that captures the season in all its many guises.

Jean took all these photos with equipment she purchased with her photo competition prize money. “I bought a good second-hand Nikon 12-24mm f4 ED IF AF S DX lens which is brilliant for landscapes,” she said.

“I also bought a brand new Nikon TC-20E III AF-S 2x TeleConverter which is proving invaluable in enabling me to get much closer to the action.”

Click through the slideshow to see Jean’s full collection of Springtime photos, taken in and around Craven Arms, Church Stretton and Ludlow in Shropshire.
