These pictures from the East Riding of Yorkshire illustrate how doing someone a good turn can get you into a tricky situation.

Mark Turner was trimming the grass verges and dykes around the estate when a truck came around the corner.

Rather than continuing to the next gateway, he pulled onto the verge to let the truck past.

“When I started to set off again the rear end of the tractor started to slide down into the little dyke,” says Mark.

A combination of the tyres being shot on the tractor, and the fact that the hedge cutter was wedged on the bank meant he was well and truly stuck.

A tug from an 8520 Deere had him back on the road in no time with only the fun poking to get over.

If you've captured a hilarious act of machine wrecking on camera then send your snaps (plus your contact details) and a brief description of the situation) to fwmachinery@rbi.co.uk.

Please remember to include a brief description of the situation so we can do your story justice.
