
These pictures from the East Riding of Yorkshire illustrate how doing someone a good turn can get you into a tricky situation.
Mark Turner was trimming the grass verges and dykes around the estate when a truck came around the corner.
Rather than continuing to the next gateway, he pulled onto the verge to let the truck past.
“When I started to set off again the rear end of the tractor started to slide down into the little dyke,” says Mark.
A combination of the tyres being shot on the tractor, and the fact that the hedge cutter was wedged on the bank meant he was well and truly stuck.
A tug from an 8520 Deere had him back on the road in no time with only the fun poking to get over.
