Those sink holes arrive when you least expect them.
This unfortunate driver was reseeding some grass pasture south of Hastings, in the Hawkes Bay area of North Island New Zealand when the tractor literally took a nose dive!
Having escaped un-injured through the back window the driver raised the alarm so as a rescue mission could begin.
The later photo shows the team using an excavator to remove the machine from its “grave” situation.
