A Turriff dairy farm has been named as one of the best in the UK in the Robert Wiseman Dairies Milk Quality Awards.
PJ & SE Hudson of New Deer farm were picked from almost 800 farms to win the award which recognises quality of milk produced by Robert Wiseman suppliers.
The awards are judged upon strict criteria, including protein content, percentage of butter far and Quality Assurance compliance.
Pete Nicholson, Robert Wiseman dairies procurement manager, said it was critical to recognise the exceptional standards their suppliers were achieving under difficult market conditions and low farm gate milk prices.
Ten farmers from throughout the UK were shortlisted for the awards, including P & J Farms of Marchwell, Wrexham and Robert Inglis of Craigend, Avonbridge who came second and third.
