As more and more farmers think about running tractors or vehicles on biodiesel, it's important that farm fuel tanks are suitable for the new eco-friendly fuel, say tank manufacturers.
Bundedtanks.com, which has added a range of Harlequin Biofuel stations to the range it sells, points out that while many of the plastic bunded tanks used on farms will cope with a 5% biodiesel blend, they may not be guaranteed to cope with blends that involve higher proportions of biodiesel, especially 100%.
It says the Harlequin tanks, pumps and dispensing equipment are all designed to deal with 100% biodiesel. They come in sizes from 1400 to 10,000 litres. The tanks are guraranteed for two years and the equipment for 1 year.
