This year's LAMMA show takes place at the Newark Showground on 16 and 17 January. Andy Collings highlights some of the new products that will be on display.
A record number of companies are expected to exhibit at LAMMA 2008. In fact the organisers have announced that, with 470 exhibitors signed up, the show is officially full. It's a situation that many other agricultural shows would be envious of.
While the every-other-year Agritechnica event in Germany is becoming the show of choice for those wanting to see the latest European launches, for most UK farmers LAMMA provides the first opportunity to see new introductions in the flesh.
Knight
Lamma looks like being a major event for Knight. The company is launching two new products - a self-propelled sprayer and a pneumatic drill. The sprayer, a 4000-litre unit with boom options of up to 40m, uses Poclain wheel motors and becomes one of the largest sprayers in Knight's range.
For the drill, Knight has joined forces with Rabe and fitted a pneumatic seeder unit on to it M-type Press to produce a 4m drill which can be used directly into stubble, min till or ploughing.
