This year's LAMMA show takes place at the Newark
Showground on 16 and 17 January. Andy Collings highlights some of
the new products that will be on display.
A record number of companies are expected to exhibit at LAMMA
2008. In fact the organisers have announced that, with 470
exhibitors signed up, the show is officially full. It's a situation
that many other agricultural shows would be envious of.
While the every-other-year Agritechnica event in Germany is
becoming the show of choice for those wanting to see the latest
European launches, for most UK farmers LAMMA provides the first
opportunity to see new introductions in the flesh.
New Holland

The new T6000 Range Command and Power Command tractors, which
replace the TM Series, will be on show.
This three-model range spans a power band of 125hp to 150hp and
offers a choice of transmissions. A 50kph or 40kph 19 x 6 Eco
transmission is available in both Range Command and Power Command
and there is also a 29 x 12 creep speed box.
A gearshift management system includes an auto change mode to
suit conditions in the field and on the road. Such sophistication
also extends to pto engagement - the speed of which is maintained
irrespective of changes in forward speed.
