Are you proud to be a farmer? You could be even prouder if you become a finalist or winner of one of 14 different categories in the 2008 Farmers Weekly Awards.
Now in their fourth year, the Awards are not simply a symbol of the innovation and commitment of the farmers, but they also deliver a powerful – and positive – message to those outside the farming industry.
“If farmers are unable to share their own achievements, why should others believe that farmers have a central role to play in today’s society? After all, farmers are not simply producing high quality food, but they are also custodians of the environment, animal welfare and the landscape,” says FW Awards organiser Debbie Beaton.
Watch the video below to find out why you should enter.
So be proud to farm, and be proud to stand up and celebrate what you do. This is a fantastic opportunity to have your own achievements, and those of your family and staff recognised.
Three finalists in each category will enjoy, along with their partner, a fantastic night at the London Grosvenor House Hotel on the 27th October 2008. This is a chance to celebrate your own achievements, and those of so many others who share your own passion for farming. You can enter on-line or download an entry form.
