If you like poultry, then you are in for a treat this week with two new picture galleries, featuring over 44 images of the feathered variety.

In Poultry World's "Poultry Show Winners" gallery, we bring you the winners from the recent Tow Law poultry show in Northumbria.

Tow Law is unusual in awarding its trophies through a points system. Points are awarded for classes and sections and these are totalled at the end of the season to produce the overall winners.

This year, it was Don Storey from the Yorkshire Dales.

Supreme Champion

But the talk of the show was Ray Charlton. It was his first time exhibiting poultry and he won Supreme Champion with an impressive German Langshan.

The second gallery is from the Melton Mowbray Rare Breeds Auction held on 29 March, where Farmers Weekly joined in the action with more than 900 rare and pure breed poultry and waterfowl on offer.

Sales included £45 for a trio of Modern English, £65 for a trio of Gold Brahma and pair of Gold Partridge Bantam Brahma's for £38.

Gary Smith travelled 200 miles from Kent and his sales, included £20 for a pair of Ko Shamos.
