Organic milk co-operative OMSCo has produced a free education pack to help children learn more about food and farming.

The pack, called 'Milk comes from supermarkets doesn't it?' aims to encourage children to find out where their food comes from and the difference between traditional and organic produce.

Rosie Palmer, OMSCo marketing manager, said The Year of Food and Farming had revealed children knew little about food provenance, something the pack aimed to change,

"The OMSCo educational resource has been created to give a real insight in to where organic milk comes from and basic farming principles, specifically organic dairy farming," she added.

Copies of "Milk comes from supermarkets, doesn't it?" can be downloaded from the OMSCo website.

Packs can also be ordered by calling OMSCo on 07920 057377 or by emailing Gill Crane.
