The Met Office has issued an early warning for heavy showers and thunderstorms for eastern England and Scotland on Sunday 31 August, which could add to an already tricky harvest for arable farmers..

Friday [29 August] and Saturday [30 August] are both forecast to be warm and dry with some sunshine in most areas apart from the very far north-west, the Met Office suggests.
