Windrowing is becoming popular in the potato industry,
with trends moving towards greater throughput and all-singing,
all-dancing harvesters.
Scotts has developed a new concept to satisfy this trend, the
Scotts Microlift RS. Before, producers used adapted machines to
lift four rows into two, but the Microlift incorporates the
company's Evolution six-row separator alongside a cross conveyer
with new web design and rubber fingers. Now, producers can increase
capacity without having to shell out on a bigger harvester, say the
company. Prices start from £40,000.
