Hants Young Farmers star turn on radio

Hampshire Young Farmers have bagged a great opportunity to promote agriculture by getting a regular slot on BBC Radio Solent.

Their first appearance will be this Sunday (January 17) on The Good Life show.

James Parrett will be the first guest, with other members appearing on subsequent shows, speaking about agriculture and spreading the word about Young Farmers.

“I’m keen to talk about why more young people should become involved in the industry, because the number coming into it has dwindled in recent years,” says 20-year-old James.

“I want to spread the word about how YFC is a charity, about all work that we do within the community and how we have a lot of fun at the same time. Hopefully it will help keep this fantastic Federation growing and going for another 100 years!”
