Dan Philip had a bit of a shock whilst harvesting in Australia last summer when the axle of the Case IH Axial Flow 2388 combine he was driving simply snapped in two.
With only 60 acres cut, Dan was heading back to the headland when the wheels started to part company.

"At first I thought the wheel had fallen off, but closer inspection showed the axle had snapped - a bit of a surprise when harvesting with a 36ft header on" said Dan.
The axle was straightened and welded up to get it out of field, but that was the end of the harvest for the 2388.

New axle and panels are to be fitted so she will be out cutting again this year.
Thanks to Dan for sending these shots in.
