Final chance to enter Farmworker of the Year

Friday 30 July 2010 07:46

There is just one day left for entries to be made for Farmworker of the Year.

We know that farmworkers - male and female - are a vital lynchpin in the success of the agricultural industry in the UK and we want to reward them for their efforts.

Farmworker of the Year, sponsored by Isuzu, is a new category in the 2010 Farmers Weekly awards.

The winner of this new award could be a tractor driver, herdsman, milker, shepherd, gamekeeper, sprayer operator, farm fitter, farm secretary or simply an all-round general worker supporting a farm.

We are looking for a person, full- or part-time, who has made a significant impact on the farm or business they work for - whether they have been on the farm for three or 30-plus years.

The closing date for entries is 31 July. Find out how to enter.
