Great ideas - keep 'em coming

This blog is paying off..... reader/web user Bridget Olds has a great idea for FW to provide more information on the pictures chosen for front covers.   For example, where livestock images are used, Bridget suggests giving details of who owns the stock and the name and location of the farm. I'm sure we can incorporate this in front cover planning, we simply need to find a suitable home for the details.... our designer Grant Sherriffs is working on it.

Farmer David Christensen also had a good idea for adding more FW comment, analysis and context to stories by adding a separate box at the end of relevant pieces.  This fits with our aim to be more practical and to really make the most of the editorial team's expertise.   We will give this a go sparingly.    

Any more ideas you have to improve the magazine and the website will be gratefully received. Simply reply to this blog.

I notice that FWispace is mentioned alot more in FW, its really good. I seen at the end of an article the other day a box saying ''want to comment? Visit our forum''.

How about a small section (half a page or so) in the farm life section about a horse owner? I work with over 600 farmers, and nearly all have at least one equine on their property. Something similar to "farmer focus" but looking at an equine establishment perhaps? I would happily volunteer my stud, and we compete at almost every major agricultural show, my partner is a farmer, so it would maintain a farming undertone. I know FW is a farming magazine and not a horse magazine, but it would be nice to see something, even a small column, once a month or something.

Thats a good idea! Some of the guys off FWI were thinking the same but with the younger generation -to promote us, buit iot would also do well for the magazine! Even just a one off feature for us.
