    Are the combines running yet?

     No picture but can confirm the combines are out! Stennett's of Ingham near Bury st Edmunds have been out to cut an approx 15a of Barley last Thursday.

    Have seen a start on the Barley here in Dorset, but rain has stopped play (surprise surprise!)

    Not every day is baaaaad.....

    One guy in our community left combining, our combines will all soon be back in the shed until corn in September.

    Had mine running, well i had to shift it out of the shed for eldest's son's 21st.

    still not sure if Harper Adams students are up to the Old Seale Hayne standard for consuming beer!!!

            Here in, East Scotland, I expect the oilseed to be swathed round about 24th July, and combines to start winter barley a few days later. My own winter barley will probably be started in the first week of August.  My combine is run at least once a month so it is more or less ready to go.

    Just in case!  the picture on Facebook of one young man, head deep into the sink, was not that of a Harper Student!!!!!!

    They were looking on supping their beer.

    Us old Seale Haynians of 30yrs ago had retired for coffee to the kitchen
