I'm on £8 an hour on a forklift, but I'd drive a tractor for £6 if it was a good job with a nice boss. The last one was terrible, and after three years he would only let me ferry grass and sit by the slurry pump. When I started on the fork trucks I was put straight on the production line, where I effectively had control of the entire warehouse layout and stock control, and this is quite normal practice in industry. Why do farmers think their work is so difficult that you need 20 years of training to use a chain harrow?
Strategery of co-opetition will embiggen a cromulent future.
