How can I get more people to read my blog?

This help note is a work in progress, so keep checking back for more tips!

    1. Let your farming friends and family know where your blog is

The URL (or address) of your blog starts with http://www.fwi.co.uk/Community/blogs/ followed by the name of your blog. So it will be something like  http://www.fwi.co.uk/Community/blogs/yoff/ or http://www.fwi.co.uk/Community/blogs/kansasfarmer/ - you can see it by looking in the address bar at the top of your blog, like this:

    :

Keep a note of it. Memorise it!  Now you can publicse it. For example:

    • Email your farming friends, neighbours and family and tell them you've got a blog and how they can find it by sending them the URL (address). Don't be modest! They don't have to be a member of FWiSpace to read your blog.
    • If your email system lets you create a "signature" that appears at the bottom of every email you send out, add the address of your blog to that.
    • Add it to your FWiSpace signature so that it appears under all of your posts. Do do this, click on the Edit Profile link at the top of each page (or here).

Right, I have to catch my train now - more hot tips here tomorrow! QUACK!

    2. Personalise your blog

You can make your blog stand out by choosing a different "skin" for it. Details on how to do this are here.

    3. Give your blog an "About" page

By saying a little more about who you are, you can help your readers to get to know you better. You can do this by setting up an "About" page.

This is easy. Just go to this page, select "Yes" to "Display About My Blog" and write whatever you like. An "About" link will appear in your blog which takes readers through to a page about you. Here's Adam's as an example.
