    Bluetongue videos and pictures

For all of you wanting more information on bluetongue we've put together three short videos covering the disease symptoms and its prevention and treatment, vaccine gun choice and use and finally practical vaccination tips. Much of it is new information related exclusively to bluetongue vaccination, so they are well worth watching.

     Hopefully, you'll find them useful,

     Jonathan Long, FW Livestock Editor

Thanks for the praise, I have to say I don't deserve all the credit, our photographer/video man Jonathan Page is the real artist on this one and has done an excellent on pulling it together.

    Cheers,

     Jonathan

Excellent page, Jonathan.  You say that other species as being available under the cascade system.  It is worth mentioning that there is advice available for goat keepers from the Goat Veterinary Society.  See: http://www.goatvetsoc.co.uk/  Basically follow a 2x1ml dose regime, similar to cattle, and there is no withdrawal periond for meat or milk.  This is the official EU word so the goaty regime is fully approved.

Also, the British Llama Society has a health and welfare bulletin on BTV.  See: http://www.britishllamasociety.org/bls_blog/bls_health_welfare_bulletin_2.html
