its for cutting silage(grass,grows again after cutting.all you grain growers wont be used to that)

Our mower is only a 1.75m JF drum mower and so I don't have any experiance with their larger models but we are impressed with our which we have had for about 7 years as it is a lot kinder to the clover and grass in that it doesn't cut it too short and so the grass grows nicely afterwards although it doesn't leave it to high either, plus it was very well priced. It is a lot better than the PZ we had prior to that but bearing in mind that it was nearly 20 years old at the time. I don't know what part of the country you are in but I know that for hay equipment our Claas dealers have been cheaper recently as they have had offers on it (they are part of the Sothern Harvesters group).

If using my dad's cousin's accent as aguide I'd say it sounds like Northern Ireland but I am not usually particually good with accent other than picking up the main accent of a country.

I would go for a Pottinger NovaDisc.  They are super-light and easy to turn, absolute quality mower, and by most accounts very reliable.  But if you're after something a little tougher with a conditioner, it would have to be a Deere or Kuhn (same machine, just a different colour).  Solid build, perfect cut, but a little heavier on linkage and fuel.  Choices.......

would quite like a lely,easy to drive and great strength for weight.SJK youre on the button.
