    tyres on line?

just a thought, has anyone ever bought tyres on line? am wondering if its cheaper to do it that way and then just get some big burly guy to fit them?

I costed this up for the land rover, and found that there wasnt much in it. The amount you save is often outweighed by paying the burley guy to fit and dispose of the other ones. I suppose it may be cheaper  if you keep the old tyre for duels etc, and you wouldnt be having them balanced.

I have always found buying regular car tyres much less expensive online. There is much less choice for tractor tyres, but you can always price the tyres and have your local firm match it.

my neighbour got a set of tractor tyres (650,s and 540,s) fitted in his yard for £50 extra.no lost time and no fuel burned going to the depot.

most do over here but there is a place that says that the deal with every kind of tire so when we got a flat on the dule we took it off put it on a traler and hauled it up to them to get it fixed as the guy who came to the farm coulednt till the next week was rater amusing to see a group of people who are used to using a machen to do it all trying to do it

A few people that I know have tried, and found it not to be cheap enough to make a difference. They'll be going back to the local supplier again next time.
