Whys New Holland always cropping up on here at the moment?

I keep an eye on this forum and it seems New Holland is featured regularly, quite interesting, is that because of their increasing popularity? Although I say you can't beat a massey.... not that their the best, their just familiar and I like them, and the name is great.

NH are going to be no.1 for tractors this year. They will outsell everyone. Decent little (and big) machines. Oh, and if you order one now, you might see it for harvest, unlike JD.

You can still get a Massey for harvest. Hopefully ours will be here this month as promised.

Simple answer to your question has to be down to hard work.  We all know from being in the agricultural world that if you sow seeds that they grow, if tended correctly they will yeild well.  Also I'd say marketing has a lot to do with it.  JD are really good at marketing as are Claas.  NH have been kicked up the backside enough times to realise that marketing and brand awareness matter too.  There was an article in the Times a few weeks ago about the rising from the ashes of the Fiat Group and the boss man who has made it happen. He just happens to be European Businessman Of The Year. I call that hard work.

What is great about the name ?    I like the words "Carlos Van Dango" but I would'nt buy anything except a T shirt with it on !

In my opinion, New Holland's are good value for money, or they have been. If you look at prices across the board, (quote me wrong) New Hollands are generally cheaper than John Deere's Massey's and Fendt's and they are always stacked full of electronic gysmose's to make are lives even easier. Its also not too difficult to get spares for them when they do break down! I reckon this is a especially true of there new T6000 range where you can pick up a 140hp fully loader tractor for around £50 k. The only downside of new hollands i have found, is there they tend to suffer from a cheaper build quality, but mabye thats just me?

Talking from someone who's just ordered a T6010...

we thankfully escaped this breed, the electronics let the machines down, we do on average 1700hrs a year driving on our tractors and we replace after 3years, we run 5 tractors and as we are parsnip growers we are in at the deep end with workload and 10month harvest season, and we had to abandon the breed due to its faults and down time, we then went onto case until they went under the n/h badge and we tried and saw the same negative traits as was with the n/h so we left and went to john deere, all are 6920 and have our first 6930, we are on our 8th machine now and only one had a problem, and believe me we drive and test them hard. In my experience new holland have got alot of catching upto do, but as stated already they are cheaper

Working hard for an easy life!

At last ive written a new blog 9th June!

We generally run 9 tractors ,All Ford/NH,JD,Massey,IH and have had no luck with "ANY" other but i would have to give MF the "Electrical problem" trophy ..Super Angry.

It's funny how it goes when i came here 11 years ago ,Tractors were green and combines were Case IH/Deere, Since then Case ih has absoluteley ruled and ford's were shunned full stop. This last 2 years "Every" new tractor or combine is a NH and i see older 4450's and and 2000 MF's being replaced by TW's and 30 series .And die hard owners of MF165 and JD2130 as yard tractors are going to 7610's and such

I think ford was shunned here out of heresay and now they have tried them the older ones are coming around .I'm partial to a few MF's but they have gone the way of the dinosour here now.

    If it's not blue it's green...Beer
