    Zurn Rape Headers

Does anybody have any experience they are willing to share about Zurn Rape Headers?  I'm awaiting delivery of one to fit to my Massey combine.

Are they as good as the literature claims?  How easy is the fitting and transporting, What are the losses like, and  how speedy is it to harvest in OSR that is either stood proudly up of falling all over the place.

i guess you are meaning the extension, header and i rate them very highly but they are a bit of a fiddle to get on in comparision to the claas side bars etc. transproting is simple too you just have it on the haeder while it is on the header trailer (you wont even know it's there) there are no real losses and they cut realy well eather when the rape is stood up of down Smile

Zurn losses are low. I think the are the only one with the patent on the bed - their bed has ridges so the seed does not fall out. Zurn, Biso and Cheval are the three makers and if you dont have an extending bed on your header these will be a revelation. Rape will go in much better and quicker. Also they have the side knives attached to them, so you dont have to put them on and off for wheat etc. I seem to recall you just drive into them and clip a couple of clamps. I think Cheval extensions are longer though.
