    Channel 4 News

Dear members of the FWispace Forums I am a journalist working for Moonstone Films, an independent television production company which is currently making a number of features for Channel 4 News.  Unlike the usual news reports, which are approx 3 minutes long, Channel 4 has commissioned us to make a number of in depth reports, which depending on the issue will be up to 10 minutes long.  I am currently looking at fuel theft and the black market in fuels, such as diesel fuel and heating oil. As you are all no doubt aware, there is a growing problem of thefts of red diesel and heating oil from farmers and other agricultural businesses and anecdotal evidence that this is being offered for sale by organized gangs. Have you been a victim of this crime? Have you had your diesel or heating oil tanks drained? Or alternatively perhaps you have been offered red diesel or heating oil for sale?  I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can help me with my research. This would be a purely off the record conversation, though we are also looking for potential interviewees. Any help that you can give me will be greatly appreciated and I look forward to hearing from you shortly  Kind regards James Pierson Assistant Producer Tel: 020 7940 5573 email: jamespierson@moonstonefilms.co.uk
