My boss has bought 2 6530 premiums recently the only differens is ! hasnt got front suspension. this was goin to be my tractor on the slurry and the rake i was dreadin it. but to my surprise there is hardly any difference . apparently fuul suspension costs 3000 extra. is it really worth it?

maybe two extremes but our jd 6930 with no front suspension comparted to the claas 697 with front suspension, there is one hell of alot of differance, like i say, two extremes.

There is evidence to say that the suspended models offer higher workrates and greater fuel efficiency.

And in my opinion there is a big difference in terms of operator comfort.

Front suspension is worth every last penny. If there is not much different in ride quality it might be a reflection of the calibre of Mr Deere's front suspension design.

They just need a little grease to maintain them is all.

having a 6830 front and cab susp, i certainly wouldnt change for another makers suspension best on the market in my opinion easily rivals fastrac having driven both. big difference between suspended and non suspended

naw if some one can get suspension on the Articulated tractors ill be happey as thows are all we have and doing 3000gal and ac with dragline on a plowd feald destroys your back very quickley. Was driving an MXM130 with on a farm i was spreding that had front suspension and cab suspension and loder suspension and that was amazing was doing 40k acros a plowd feald and was as smooth as being on the road realy nice tractor to drive as well.

Get in touch with Bill Basford for the exact figures.

Higher work rates from the operator being more comfortable and less fatigued whilst maintaining higher speeds (within reason).

Fuel efficiency improved through the front wheels having more constant contact with the ground, than unsuspended machines, increasing overall traction closer to the optimum.

Take it or leave it, but if you have heard Bill talk you will know that he is a very knowledgable and down to earth person.

Well, a farming magazine has conducted several tests over the last few years alongside the DLG (German Farm Science People), and they consistently report that suspension improves the tyre contact of the front wheels, leading to better traction and thus lower fuel consumption.  And with a smoother ride, the tractor can be driven faster during haulage and work such as fertiliser spreading, leading to more work or less hours.  I think the magazine was called something like, er.......Farmers Weekly?

Strategery of co-opetition will embiggen a cromulent future.

no way does any front suspension overcome full suspension or even come close to it.

claas is know as boss on suspension and our 697 comes no were near the fastrac 3185
