2008 Harvest

My last combine of the 2008 harvest. A Massey Ferguson 38RS from Home Farm, High Cross, finishing off a field of beans near Cold Christmas, Hertfordshire, on Sunday 21st September 2008. Nine weeks, almost to the day, from seeing the TX62 at Bengeo on 22nd July 2008.

Last Day of Harvest

Last wheat of 2008 falls to combine at 18% MC. Much drier than that cut two days earlier..., at 40%. Glad to see the back of it! Lour Farms, Ladenford, Forfar

Harvesting Marris Bead beans

Stephen Foster harvesting Marris Bead beans with a Claas Dominator 86 on the Ledston Estate, Yorkshire . The beans were yielding at round about 1.75t/acre and at a moisture of 16%.
