The T4 PowerStar joined the New Holland range in 2011; it’s a three-model utility range with 55hp to 74hp engines, a new cab and a choice of synchro shuttle or power shuttle transmissions.
The transition to Euro Stage 3B emissions compliance using FPT Industrial engines with selective catalytic reduction (SCR) exhaust treatment continued in 2011 with four 'short wheelbase' additions to the T7 Auto Command CVT range spanning 144hp to 181hp.
Next came the T8 series to replace the T8000; this thorough re-design has a much longer wheelbase and power outputs climbing to 389hp with ‘boost’ for pto and transport work. The T9 series replacement for the articulated T9000 line-up brought a greater choice of models spanning 390hp to 557hp.
Both ranges use FPT Industrial rather than Cummins engines with SCR for emissions control. Cab suspension is another first-time feature.
All T7000 series tractors are now sold (so get the ‘ceased’ logo in the guide) and to clear the way for future SCR-equipped tractors, most models from the T6000 series have been dropped, with only Elite and a handful of LS versions now available.
This paves the way for the 2012 introduction of the new T5 series (99-114hp max) and T6 series (110-140hp at rated speed) unveiled at Agritechnica.
