(Saturday night): Western Scotland along with Northern Ireland will be mostly cloudy with some mist patches as well as a few spots of drizzle. The rest of the UK will see any daytime showers tending to ease to leave it mainly dry with some clear spells but there will also be mist and fog patches forming in places. However, heavy and thundery showers are expected to reach the south coast by dawn. Humid.

(Sunday): South-west England and western Wales will be rather cloudy for a time with some showers but there will be sunny spells breaking through at times. The rest of England will have heavy and thundery downpours moving northwards, some of these will be torrential in places. Eastern Wales will have a good deal of cloud around with scattered showers, some of which may possibly be thundery. South-east Scotland will have showers; these will become heavier and more persistent during the afternoon with the small risk of thunder. The rest of Scotland along with Northern Ireland will turn drier and brighter after morning showers and cloud has cleared.

Monday and Tuesday): Heavy rain for a time across north-east Scotland and the Northern Isles on Monday. Elsewhere, showery outbreaks of rain will spread eastwards through the day. Rain for most of southern England on Tuesday, some of which will be heavy for a time. The rest of the UK will have a mixture of sunshine and showers.
