Cut mycotoxin risk with DON test kit

Farmers can cut the risk of high DON mycotoxin contaminated wheat downgrading what’s already in store by using the Farmer DON test kit from Agricultural Supply Services.

Last summer’s wet harvest caused much quality wheat to be contaminated by high DON, as most farmers could not assess DON-affected grain as it came off the combine, says the firm’s Charles Goldingham.

But those who tried the kit, launched last year, found it easy to use and invaluable in segregating high DON grain, a phone survey is said to have found.

The kit will be demonstrated each day of the event on stand 330 in the Post Harvest Technology area.
