Harvest Highlights – early morning oilseed rape combining
Sam Fairs of Hill farm, Heveningham, Halesworth managed to harvest 8ha (20 acres) of Lioness oilseed rape for a couple of hours this morning before the rain came.
He said “the harvest has gone fine so far,” although he had only managed 20ha (50 acres) out of 320ha (800 acres). He expected the quality to be average.
But Timber, Alchemy, Glasgow and Solstice winter wheat all “looked wet and will be a problem.”
