Online tool to help with brome control

A new online programme aims to help wheat growers better understand brome and how to control the weed effectively, according to Bayer CropScience.

The interactive tool is aimed at helping BASIS qualified advisers and NRoSO (National Register of Sprayer Operators) members develop control strategies for brome and couch control using Bayer’s Attribut (propoxycarbazone).

It covers various topics, including product selection, species differentiation, stewardship, cultural control and timings.

“With the promise of milder weather on the way, now is the ideal time to think about how to control brome,” commented the firm’s product manager, Tim Holt.

Growers who complete the programme will qualify for one NRoSO and one BASIS CPD point, the firm said.

The ‘Attribut Training Program’ is available via Bayer CropScience’s website.
