The July floods were devastating for many farmers but it is amazing how quickly things returned to normal for some people.

This first picture shows a 25 acre field of Xi19 winter wheat, completely submerged by flood water from the River Ouse on 22 July.

This next photo shows the following day when the ears were just emerging.

Only 19 days later (10 August) the field was being combined. The crop was all still standing and came in at about 3t/acre at around 13% moisture with no damage to the field.
