Better blackgrass control with Cousins cultivator

A new shallow-working primary cultivator joins the line-up of implements produced by Cousins.

Designed to produce a seed-bed into which cultivator drills can operate, the cultivator uses a new tine design which, when combined with razor rings, is claimed to also encourage weed germination and give better control of blackgrass.

Tines are set to work at a depth of just 50mm – the shallow depth leaving seeds at lower levels undisturbed.

The new cultivator requires about 50hp/metre to work effectively at a forward speed of 9kph, says Cousins.
