A very fine gentleman has just alerted me to a most embarrassing slip. Of course, Joanna Lumley campaigned on behalf of Gurkhas, not Burkhas (I'm reading On The Road to Kandahar at the moment and I think I got my wires crossed!).
So, my boss suggested I blog a quick identification guide so I wouldn't get confused again:

Well, you still have two versions of the word: Ghurkha (the bloke with JL) and Gurkha in your text (which is what the ever reliable(!) Wikipedia goes for, although it does have other options for spelling: Gorkha or Ghurka.
I thought I's cover all my bases. So to speak!
