Freudian slip....

| 6 Comments | No TrackBacks

A very fine gentleman has just alerted me to a most embarrassing slip. Of course, Joanna Lumley campaigned on behalf of Gurkhas, not Burkhas (I'm reading On The Road to Kandahar at the moment and I think I got my wires crossed!).

So, my boss suggested I blog a quick identification guide so I wouldn't get confused again:

Burkha:

Joanna with a Ghurkha:

And finally, in case I really got mixed up with my words, gherkins:

This is my favourite EVER blog post (it even beats some of Matthew's dogs in drag). Bless you, Em.

I agree, bloomin' hilarious.

Best. Correction. EVAR. :)

Truly marvellous post ... I'm going to have to get into farm machinery if this is the self deprecating style of article I can expect!

Well, you still have two versions of the word: Ghurkha (the bloke with JL) and Gurkha in your text (which is what the ever reliable(!) Wikipedia goes for, although it does have other options for spelling: Gorkha or Ghurka.

I thought I's cover all my bases. So to speak!
