Happy St David's Day

Today is a big day for the Welsh as it is time to celebrate the life of Dewi Sant (or for the none welsh speakers among us, Saint David).

Apparently Dewi is also known as 'Dewi Ddyfrwr' (or David the Water Drinker) as surprisingly enough from his title he drank nothing but water!!!! (no wonder he was over 100 when he passed away as he would never have needed to detox).

It was known that St David would 'stand up to his neck in a lake of water, reciting important Scripture'. Now for a guy who has lived in Wales for a time, that is no mean feat, as it can get little chilly in the winter.

Joking aside, all the best wishes to the proud Welsh on this day. I hope the daffodills look well, the singing is joyous and the leeks taste good(not to be stereotypical abot the Welsh of course)!!!
