The harsh realities of lent are really striking FW staff members hard today, with temptation lurking at every conceivable corner.
One such temptation occurred this morning, as upon entering the building we were all greeted by Contract Journal staff members, who with their re-designed magazine were handing out free Kit-Kats to staff passing by.
I was quite amused then, to walk into our office with people trying to justify to themselves that wafer crisp chocolate wasn't 'true' chocolate and therefore Kit-Kats were okay.
For non-Lent participants like myself, this time of year has a certain cruel pleasure associated to it, as I like nothing more than to eat Mars Bars next to the chocolate quitters, or seeing their envious eyes as I munch on a packet of crisps.
They do have the last laugh, however, when I have gained about two stone in the forty days and they are fighting fit for the summer.
