Tractor mystery revealed

Within the Farmers Weekly collection on YouTube, there have been two videos that have created more debate than when Mr Food Chain said that Days of Thunder was better than Top Gun (which it blatantly isn't).

Both videos were made by a friend of Mr Machinery Editor, with the first showing the ultimate method of getting your tractor well-and-truly stuck (see video above)and the second showing how to get it unstuck again:

the endless comments that we have received have mainly been over two issues, one issue revolving around the driver's stupidity and the other around how the tractor got free from such a mess.

Well to finally put the mystery to bed, the tractor was pulled out by a Challenger track-layer; not just once but 26 times. This wasn't because the driver wanted to continually get stuck, but his boss wanted him to continue on the field regardless of its state.

Mr Machinery said:"This may look like the work of a complete muppet - and it is.

However the boss man insisted the field was ploughed whatever obstacles befell the hapless numpty.

For the next field, the ultra-efficient team hooked up permanently - this time with the John Deere 6920 pulling the Challenger and seven furrow plough - the mind boggles".
