Wheat bulb fly

WHEAT bulb fly continues to threaten crops following last years high levels. The latest ADAS forecast shows 25% of fields at risk are above the threshold of 250 eggs/sq m for autumn-sown crops. Last year 31% of such fields exceeded that threshold. A high proportion of potato and sugar beet fields on organic soils in Cambs and Lincs are at risk, as well as all 10 onion fields sampled so far, adds ADAS.
