On Wednesday I went to my next door neighbour's house because he let me have a go on his horse and carriage it was great fun.

You need at least two people to go so that there is someone to hold the reins at all times.

Before we went we had to brush them and wash them down to make them look posh.

After a while I got to have a go at steering them. They are both very strong and I just can’t get them to stop yet, but steering them was good.

He has a black Labrador called Murphy who rides in the carriage all the times and even gets in before it is fastened to the horses, he has a dog seat belt to hold him in.

The horses are brother and sister and their names are Mary and King they are bred out of the same mum but have a different dad.

This week they started cutting the wheat. The moisture in it was about 16% so it needs a bit of drying, this wheat will be sold and turned into animal feed, some wheat is milled and made into biscuits.
