Flower Cropping Begins

| No Comments | No TrackBacks

We started harvesting the delphiniums this week. In amongst all the other excitement I almost forgot what I did for a living. You should be able to buy a bouquet of these in Marks and Spencer from tomorrow. The majority of our flowers to go Waitrose and we start supplying them on Monday.

It is exciting and nerve-wracking when the flowers are ready for harvest. They are a very difficult product to handle and the temperatures and post harvest treatments are all critical. I'm normally a bit stressy and not particularly humorous until things get nicely underway. So far so good, I will keep you updated.
