Keldmoor dispersal hits 2300gns

Bidding was steady at yesterday's dispersal of the Keldmoor Holstein herd for the Thompson family, Claxton, York, with a top price of 2300gns for lot 132, Keldmoor Jackson Lisa.

Lisa, who is rated VG-86 is by Weeton Jackson and out of homebred cow Keldmoor Leadership Lisa.

AI'd last September to Gillette Final Cut, Lisa had given 6373 litres by day 221 of her first lactation and is currently giving just over 30kg a day.

Next top bid was 1350gns, with Keldmoor Lyster Eltona following quickly behind at 1250gns.
