Large Black storms Royal Show pig classes

Leading the way in the pig interbreed at this year's Royal Show was the Large Black sow, Sock Doreen 161, from Martin Snell, Yeovil, Somerset.

By homebred boar Sock Attempt 9 and out of Sock Doreen 155, Doreen 161 stood ahead of the Welsh champion from Christine Vaughan. This one was 2006 born boar Vinery Workman 4308 which is by Churchstone Workman 5 and out of Vinery Empress 4226.
