More Royal Welsh Show sheep and beef champions

Further judging in the beef lines saw the South Devons finish their judging, with W H Sandford's bull Haughton Sas Joes Louis taking the honours here. Louis is by Trevowah Joe Louis 11 and out of Haughton Vicky 2.

Also among the native champions at this year's rain soaked first day was the Hereford leader, Hermitage Commando from Andrew Owens. Sired by Badlingham Banter, Commando is out of Hermitage Daisy Chain.

In the Suffolks the champion came from Viv Samuel, with his homebred ewe lamb standing champion under judge Andrew Walton.
