Taking Stock takes Royal Show title

Today has been an exceptional day for Taking Stock, with my Southdown shearling ram taking the sheep interbreed pairs title at the shortened Royal Show. Coupled with the breed champion, a shearling ewe from Wakeham Dawson and Harmer, they beat off stiff competition to take the title.

Regular readers may remember my win at South of England with the same tup. Having taken the gamble and brought him to the Royal, I'm delighted with the win and he's now heading for showring retirement before being sold at the Southdown Premier Sale at Maidstone in early August.
