This afternoon's cattle judging saw animals paraded in rings which can be described as nothing short of a swamp.
Heading up the Beef Shorthorn lines, which were judged by United Auctions chief David Leggat, was the senior bull Holmeere Alastair from M A Holmes and led out by Richard Rettie.
Among the Highlanders it was Kevin Rice's heifer Una Bhulde 17 which took top honours.
Next up was Lincoln Red leader from Michael Read. This was his 2002-born senior bull St Fort Essex.
