Bakewell Limousin cross calf sells for £1000

Calf trade rocketed at Bakewell Market last week when a suckled calf from M J Wells and Son of One Ash Grange Farm, Monyash sold for £1000.

The seven-month old Limousin cross steer was one of 777 cattle forward at the High Peak Livestock Society Sale. Purchaser was Andrew Dickinson of Bradbourne.
