Charolais sell to 5000gns at Newark

Topping Charolais trade so far this afternoon at Newark was Brampton Big Wig from G W Turner. Having taken 3rd prize in this morning's judging, this Kelton Valent son knocked down under United Auctions auctioneer David Leggat at 5000gns to A T Richardson and Son, Ashbourne, Derby.

Just before that, another from the same stable, this time Brampton Bonzo went at 3500gns to Messrs Garthwaite, Wakefield.

The first lot in to the ring, Newroddige Adonis from Danny and Jane Wyllie went at 3200gns to Burling Bros, Cambridgeshire, while the reserve champion Mortimers Barracuda went at the same money to P Sherratt, Derbyshire.
