Ewe and lamb top £190 for YFC sale

A strong turnout of sheep and cattle gathered at the Culm Valley, Honiton and Totnes YFC 61st show and sale.

Honiton YFC saw top price of £172 being made for best ewe, also seeing third prize for Daniel Reed. First prize winner of best lambs and best ewe and lamb and top price of £190 was presented to Stuart Perry. First prize winner and topping the best pen lambs at £161 was Anna Stephens.

Culm Valley YFC saw beef heifer class top prize and top price of £1380 being presented to Mark Davis. Beef steer class saw second place Raymond Spiller making £1220. Beef out of dairy class had a top price of £720 made for second place Richard Barton. Dairy down calving heifers topped at £3000 for first place Rob Norton.

Ewes and lambs also saw top prices with second place Mark Saunders topping the price with £148.

Top price gilts and litter was £207 going to first place Sarah Spiller.
