Hexham breeding sale sells to £1850

Hexham and Northern Marts May sale of beef breeding cattle saw prices topping at £1850.  

Sale leader was a British Blue x Friesian heifer with a Blonde x heifer calf at foot from Mirlaw House. Following close behind was another Blue cross from West Wharmley selling for £1820.

A Limousin cross heifer with calf at foot saw high prices of £1750 being made from Palm Strothers and West Wharnley.

Stock cows met a sharp trade selling to £1750 for a Bazadaise cross second calver with a Lim cross steer Calf from Demensne Farm, Bellingham. A South Devon cross second calver from Wydon made £1380.

Bulling heifers were in demand selling to £900 for a Limousin x British Blue from High Highlaws.

Bulls sold to 4000gns for a two year old Limousin by Limo Tenant, Glebe Farm, West Butsfield.
